Rev Clarence Hazen Bainbridge, age 87, died peacefully at Clermont Health and Rehabilitation Center, Clermont, Florida on October 27, 2016.

He was born January 7th, 1929 in Sackville, NB Canada to Charles and Seraph (Tower) Bainbridge. Clarence is survived by his wife Marjorie (Dearborn); three sons: Meryl (Elleta), Matthew (Bobbie), Jonathan (Lynda); foster daughter Joyce Munan’ya Titus; six grandchildren: Joshua (Amanda) Bainbridge, Christine (Richard) Howard, Carolyn (Isaac) Shafer, Amanda Bainbridge, Chelsea Bainbridge, Kayla (Baxter) Schlick , Grace Basele, Jacob Basele; five great grandchildren: AbbyLynn, Claire & Dean Bainbridge, Rhys & Claire Shafer.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Seraph (Tower) Bainbridge; his daughter Carolyn; his brothers: Earl, Lewis, Ralph; his sisters: Grace, Renna, Stella, Anne.

He was the youngest in his farming Sackville family. He graduated from High School in 1947 and went to New Brunswick Bible Institute where he met Marjorie Dearborn, a fellow student. They were married immediately after graduation, on June 23, 1950 in United Baptist Church, Mars Hill, Maine.
They applied for the Africa Inland Mission, serving a three point parish in Coldstream, Canada while waiting for a mission call. They went to Kenya during the Mau Mau rebellion in1953, and served in many locations until 1994. Clarence was a Pastor, teacher, evangelist, maintenance man and food service host during those many years. He ministered at Mbooni, Machakos, Kijabe, Mulango, Mombasa and Eldoret. He also served as a pastor and in various other positions in the years they were on furlough in Maine, New York and Florida. They finally retired and moved to the AIM retirement community at Media, Minneola, Florida in 1994.

He continued to follow his passion for teaching and preaching the Word, ministering as pastor at Clerbrook RV park until finally fully retiring in 2008. They lived in their own house at Media until moving into the boarding home at Media in November 2011.

A Memorial Service will be held on December 3, 2016, at 2 PM at Frutchey Hall, AIM Retirement Center 1000 Stam Place, Minneola, FL 34715
