We, the family of the late Irene (Wood) MacIntosh, would like to thank family and friends for the love and support shown to us during our recent loss of our Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Thank you for your condolences, calls, cards, food and memorial donations. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Rent and the ICU nurses at the CBRH, as well as DR. MacLean and the staffs of 3 South and 3 West of the Glace Bay Hospital for their special care and attention while she was there. We also want to thank all the staff from Taigh Na Mara who helped make it her home for the nearly 4 years she was there. Your kindness and thoughtfulness made her love it there and love all of you as well. Our sincere thanks to Rev. Allan MacLellan, the choir of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 3 Honour Guard for the beautiful and heartfelt service. We would also like to thank St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church for the great lunch that they provided following the service. Thank you to the staff of V.J. MacGillivray’s Funeral Home and Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. A special thank you to those who came from out of town to be with us and to the pallbearers, her grandsons, Shaun E and Ian O’Neill and JP Wood, great-grandson Lucas Rushton and nephews Brain and Barry Brewer.
