It is with heartfelt sadness that we, the family of Donald Howard Fraser (71) of Coxheath, NS, announce his passing at AnCala Unit, CBRH; surrounded by his loving family, Monday Nov.7, 2016. Born Dec. 12, 1944 to parents Angus and Ada Fraser of Middle River where he lived for many years. Donald worked for the Dept. of Transportation in Baddeck for 25 years as a welder and a mobile mechanic. In his retirement he enjoyed his family, his walks with Harley and “never having to leave the house in a snowstorm for work”. During the past year he discovered how to use Facebook and it was through his posts his dry wit became known. He is survived by his wife, Lynette (Tarr) Bresowar; son, Jamie (Tanya), Hinton, AB; daughters, Sharon Parsons (Jimmy) and Debbie (Duncan) MacKenzie, both of Middle River; daughter, Stacey Bresowar (Terry), Howie Centre and Carrie (Cameron) Ritvars, Ontario and sisters, Kathy Fraser, Baddeck, Isabel Delcore, Massachusetts and his brother, Willard (Marlene), Middle River. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Malcolm and his first wife, Mary. Grampy will be greatly missed by his beloved grandchildren, Billy, Donald, Marylee, April, Malcolm, Ben, Georgia and Jude and especially his little buddy, Harley. Donald was quiet, kind and generous, he was respected and loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. There will be no visitation. Funeral will be held on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. at Farquharson Presbyterian Church, Middle River.
