Lucy Mildred Milligan – 94, Bible Hill, passed away November 12, 2016 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Dutch Settlement, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Muriel Ashley.
Lucy had a special love for her grandchildren whether it was cooking for them or simply spending time with them. She enjoyed playing bridge and was an avid bowler. Lucy was a hairdresser, operating out of her own home. She also worked for many years at Sears.
She is survived by son, Kirk (Judy) Bible Hill; daughter in law, Heather, Masstown; grandchildren, Tammy Spencer (Wally Pulley), Sarah Milligan (Adam Boertjes), Scott (Michelle), Steven (Annemarie), Jeffrey (Candice MacDonald); seven great grandchildren; brother, Stanley “Junior” Ashley (Angela); sister, Hazel Keyes; brother in law, Elmer (Joan) Hamilton; many nieces and nephews.
Lucy was predeceased by her husband, Keir Roland Milligan; son, Carter; infant son, Allen; sister, Barb and brother, Robie.

A Graveside Service and Interment will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 11am in Terrace Hill Cemetery, Kaulback St., Truro. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lucy’s memory may be made to the VON or to St. John’s Anglican Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
