January 21, 1928 - November 17, 2016

It is again, with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Pat, only 35 days after her husband Ted's passing.
Born in Montreal to Leonard and Jessie Knowles.
Wife of 69 years to Ted and mother to Gary (deceased), (Susan) of Moncton, Tim (Linda) of Gibsons and Greg (Sharon) of Winnipeg. Pat was grandmother to Ryan, Jeremy, Katherin and James, and great-grandmother to Brenden, Bradley, Nikolas, Sienna, Dylan, Erin and Annabella.
A more loving and devoted wife and mother, you could not find. She worked hard to give her family the love and devotion and moral compass to survive and thrive in the world around us. She was brave and stalwart on issues of equality and involved herself in many issues of the day. Her opinions were formed from deep thought on a multitude of ideas and carried her through changing times with great conviction.
She loved music and participated in operetta through the Montreal West Operatic Society, along with my father and brothers. She loved boating and lived through some 29 or 30 iterations of such that we all sailed on or motored in over the years at Isle Cadieux. She and Dad gave us a wonderful life in those years and all who knew them loved them.
We are all deeply saddened at their passing, but now they are together again as they were before, and it is as it should be. God bless them both.
A celebration of their lives will take place at St. Hilda's Anglican Church on Tuesday, November 29 at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow.
