It is with great sadness that the family of the late FLORENCE O’KEEFE of Jean de Baie announces her passing at her home in Jean de Baie on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2016 at the age of 80. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are daughter, Cyndie O’Keefe (Denzil Appleby) of Holyrood; grandson, Jerome Farrell (Stephanie Murphy) of St. John’s; sisters, Susie Yates of Staten Island, NY, Anna Hannam of Jean de Baie, Dora (Gary) Mercer of Jean de Baie; brothers, Charlie Hannam of Jean de Baie, James (Renée) Hannam of Hamilton, ON; sister-in-law Sylvia Hannam of Staten Island, NY; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Jerome O’Keefe; parents, Annie & James Hannam; sister, Bride Mallay; and brothers, Thomas, Peter & Gerald Hannam.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Thursday, November 24th, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Interment followed at Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Cemetery in Jean de Baie.
