Passed peacefully away on Friday, November 18th, 2016, at the Blue Crest Home in Grand Bank, the hometown he loved, WILFRED BRUCE BUFFETT, in his 80th year. Leaving beautiful memories to his loving wife of 57 years, Judy (Pike), daughters Shelley and Jeanne (John Brookbank), cherished grandchildren Bruce (Leah) and Niki as well as Tyler, Brandon and Paige Brookbank and great grandchildren Kevicia, Maleah, and Malik. Bruce treasured the love of brothers George (Mary Lou), Tom (Karin), Al (Elsie), Bill (Lil), and sister/friend Bea (Allan) Stoodley, and Peggy (Dave) Bradbury as well as very dearly loved and cherished nieces and nephews. Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred Marcus Buffett and Sybil Eloise (Hollett) and great grandson, Marcus Joshua Buffett as well as sister-in-law ‘Abigail Elaine’ Piercey. Bruce was privileged to have many dear and wonderful friends and relatives bless his lifetime.
Bruce was the managing director of Buffett’s Clothing Store in Grand Bank from 1955 until 1984. He lived life to the fullest. Whether he was serving the community through his involvement in the Lions Club and the town council, playing soccer as a proud GeeBee, taking part in diving adventures with the scuba club, hunting, fishing, or teaching the kids to waterski on his beloved Stern Pond, Bruce brought energy and humour to all his pursuits. In 1984, his health took a turn. Against the odds, Bruce survived to enjoy a quieter lifestyle until his passing. He will forever bring a smile to the faces of those whose lives he touched.
