It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ralph St. Clair Maine, age 88, of Springhill. Ralph passed away peacefully at All Saints Hospital, Springhill, on Tuesday, November 29, 2016.
Born in Springhill, NS, he was a son of the late Allan and Agnes (Olsen) Maine.
Ralph worked for CN Rail for over 35 years. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed animals and was known for keeping dog and cat treats on hand for the community animals. He was an honest upstanding gentleman who never had a bad word to say about anyone.
He will be sadly missed by his wife the former Jacqueline "Jackie" McCormick, Springhill; son, Ronald "Ronnie", Springhill, granddaughters, Chrissy (Byron Stoddard) and Lindsay, both of Springhill; great grandson, Jacob; sisters, Gloria Langille and Cheryl (Alyre) Gaudet, both of Moncton; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sisters, Norma Porter and Glendoris O'Hanley; brothers, Laurie and Allan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361) where visiting hours will be held on Friday from 1 until 2 pm, followed immediately at 2 pm by the funeral service, Rev. Wayne McCarther officiating. Burial will take place in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.
