MANTHORNE - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darrell Ian Manthorne, in Taiwan, Tuesday November 8th, 2016. Born in Yarmouth on Dec 1st, 1970, he was 45 years old.
Darrell’s greatest love was teaching, which he did all over Europe settling his heart in Taiwan.
Darrell is survived by his father David Manthorne; mother, Irene Manthorne; birth mother, Margaret Martell; brothers, Matthew Martell, Randy (Ann) Muise, Tom (Peggy) Muise, Derrick (Apryl) Muise; sisters, Judy (Stephen) Cottreau, Marie (Paul) Mombourquette, Muriel (Roger) Wood, Gail (Kevin) Fitzgerald; his confidant and friend aunt Marsha Pierce, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Bevan and Clara Manthorne; maternal grandparents Max and Peggy Peirce and brother Joseph Muise.
A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, Dec 3rd at The Milo Boat Club in Yarmouth.
Cremation and Burial has taken place in Taipei, Taiwan. Donations in memory of Darrell may be made to the Yarmouth YMCA, children’s charities or school of your choice.
