We, the family of the late Marian Jean Hemsworth, would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to relatives, friends, neighbours and former co-workers for their loving support and kindness shown at the time of Jean’s passing. To all who telephoned, visited, sent sympathy cards, made charitable donations in Jean’s name, sent flowers, on-line condolences, and brought food to the house, thank you so much. To all who visited Jean in hospital, thank you. Thank you to all who attended the visitation and the funeral service, your presence was appreciated. Thank you to the EHS Paramedics who came to the house on Aug 6th, your compassion and professionalism did not go unnoticed. To the ER Staff at the Glace Bay Hospital, thank you for your wonderful care. To the ER staff and the ICU staff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, thank you for your cared and compassion. Thank you to Dorothy MacAskill R.N. and Charlaine Chaisson R.N. Special thank you to the staff of 3rd south at the Glace Bay Hospital for your wonderful care and compassion shown to Jean. Thank you to Dr. David Ley, for your care over the years and especially during the month of August. You certainly went above and beyond for Jean. Thanks also to Ann and Lynn who were always so accommodating and pleasant to Jean.

Duncan Roach for the beautiful and touching memorial service and for the many visits in hospital. To Cathy Power and Tom MacInnis for the scripture readings, thank you. To James McNeil, organist and Knox United Church Choir, thank you. Thank to Sharon Stevenson for preparing the bulletin. Thank you to Gary MacDonald. Thank you to Rev. Bob Biggar for his Hospital visits. To the members of Knox UCW for the beautiful luncheon after the service, thank you. A special thank you to the Glace Bay General Hospital Alumni Association for the Honour Guard-Jean would have been very touched.
