Harold MacAskill Montgomery, 60, passed away December 6th, 2016 at Victoria County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Baddeck, NS on February 17, 1956 to the late Harry and Dorothy Montgomery.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen [Poirier]; his son, Hal [Kiera]; daughter, Danielle [Bruce Stockley]; sister, Marie; close cousin, Marilyn [Galen Thurber] and many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Dorothy Montgomery and sister, Isabel.
Harold will be warmly remembered as a loyal friend, mentor and confidant to many. A true gentleman, who always cherished time with his family; whether hard at work, cheering on the patriots or roaming the sandy shores in Hawaii. His kindness and fortitude will continue to stand as an example for us all. In loving memory; Aloha, Harry. Visitation will be held at MacAskill Funeral home December 9th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held at St. Michaels Church, Baddeck on Saturday, December 10th at 2 p.m. and will be officiated by Father Paul Abbass. Burial to be held at a later date. Family Flowers Only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victoria County Hospital Foundation.
