It is with great sadness that the family of the late ROBERT POWER of Spanish Room announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Saturday, December 3rd, at the age of 83. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are wife, Marie of 59 years; sons, Henry (Clara) of Marystown, Eric of Barrie, ON; daughters, Roberta of Kitchener, ON, Yvonne of Marystown, Leona (Pad Mullett) of Spanish Room, Janet (Brendan Mullett) of Spanish Room and Linda (Jerome Coady) of Scarborough, ON; sisters, Betty Stacey, Joan (Bill Hodder) and Corsina Gaulton; brothers, Leonard (Rose) Power, Anthony (Joan) Power and John Power; daughter-in-law, Sharoll Dober; sister-in-law, Susie Power ; special caregiver, Roxanne Hodder; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents, Maurice & Johanna Power; daughter, Adele; son, Philip; daughter-in-law, Karen Power; son-in-law, Henry Collins; brother, Adrian Power; sisters, Monica Pittman, Catherine Hennebury, Jeanette Scott; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Tuesday, December 6th, at 10:30 a.m. Cremation followed.

In Robert’s memory donations may be made to The Diabetes Association or flowers gratefully accepted.
