Died on Thursday, December 8th, 2016 at Glenbrook Lodge, Flora May Head, age 93. Predeceased by her husband Lloyd Head. Left with cherished memories are her devoted daughters: Brenda and her husband Maurice Devine, Nancy and her husband Robert Stokes; grandchildren: Michael Devine (Heather) of Victoria, BC and Mary Devine of Toronto, ON, (Shamus) of Toronto, ON, Ben (Harriet) Stokes of London, UK, Jane Stokes (Kyle) of Milton, ON; great-grandchildren: Olive, Gideon, and Bessy Stokes; sister Christine Cole of Dartmouth, NS; brothers: Leslie Penney of Carbonear and Adolph Penney (Minnie) of St. John's: sister-in-law Eileen Piercey of St. John's; life long friend Catherine Haliday, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral service will take place at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday, December 11th, 2016 at 2 pm. Reception to follow at Barrett Reception Lounge immediately after service. Donations in Flora's memory can be made to the Salvation Army, Red Shield Appeal or to a charity of one's choice.
