Kathryn Amanda (Davidson) Farmer

Farmer (Davidson) Kathryn Amanda – age 93, of London, Ontario, passed away on October 22, 2016 in a Toronto nursing home. Kathryn was the eldest daughter of the late James and Elsie Davidson.
Kathryn was born on January 27, 1923 in Debert, Nova Scotia. She worked in her father’s general store during the early years of the Second World War. Travelled to England to marry her husband in the Royal Air Force. After the war, they returned to Ontario, Canada, finally settling in London.
Kathryn took great pride in her home there, enjoyed family and friends, and was involved in the Baptist church for many years. She also enjoyed going to their summer home in Grand Bend. A good housekeeper, and a good cook. She was quite independent, and lived alone in the house for over twenty years.
Kathryn was predeceased by her husband, Reg Farmer, and 2 brothers, Frank and James Jr. Davidson. She is survived by sisters, Reta Castellan, Red Deer, AB, and Lois Patryluk, Toronto; brother Donald Davidson, Truro – Debert; nieces, Patricia, North Halifax, Kathy Maiato, Brampton, Ont, Julie Hutchins, Red Deer, AB, Judy Chianto, Woodbridge, ON, Debbie Sansom, Caledon, ON, nephew, Frank Davidson, NC.
Donations in Kathryn’s memory may be made to the Debert Baptist Church. Arrangements were entrusted to Westview Funeral Chapel, London, ON. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, London, ON.
