Passed peacefully at The Veterans Pavilion, Forest Rd. surrounded by devoted family. Leaving to mourn our deep loss son, Vince Jr. (Bonnie) St. Catherine's, ON, Engie (Joe) Forrayi Calgary, AB, Sandra (Matt) Bailey St. John's, NL. Loving Grandchildren Michael Butler (Samantha Ling), Toronto, ON, Kevin (Anne) Butler, London, ON, Michelle (Ian) Couture, Calgary, AB, Joanne (Lee) Isaak, Calgary, AB, Marianne Forrayi, Calgary, AB., Ian Bailey, St. John's, devoted granddaughter Angela (Glen & Elliott Sturge) Butler-Bailey (as her pop affectionately called her) St. John's. Eight adoring great-grandchildren, Ethan & Sophia Couture, Chase, Benjamin & Emily Isaak all of Calgary, Finley & Molly Butler, London, ON, Emily Butler, Toronto, ON. Also mourning their sad loss are devoted friends, Francis Hipditch, Yvonne Besso, Janice Stewart, Jim Healey (Singing Legionnaires), Curtis Inkpen & family Fortune, Mary Bailey-Foss, devoted staff & volunteers of The Veterans Pavilion, as well as his comrades who showed so much concern for dad during his brief illness, numerous nieces & nephews including special nephew Frank (Marie) Butler, St. John's, Vince (Marie) Butler, Ajax, ON. Also mourning his loss are one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law and their families of the Faroe Islands. Dad was the last surviving member of James & Rhoda (Evans) Butler of Flower Hill. Dad was predeceased by loving wife, Sophie (May 20, 2007), brothers Frank, William, Jack, Richard, Gordon, Joseph, Fred, sisters Nellie Haynes & Rita Lucas and his twin brother, Cyril (1969) and their spouses as well as several nieces and nephews, 13 brothers & sisters-in-law of the Faroe Islands. Predeceased by lifelong friends, Mike & Betty Nolan, Martha Inkpen, his fishing buddies Ray (Lucie) Besso, Pat (Theresa) Myler, many co-workers of Labatt Brewery including Aloysius Traverse (DVA 2015). Visitation Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Tuesday and Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. and 7-9p.m.. Funeral service on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Caul's Chapel. Inurnment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Field of Honour, Hamilton Avenue. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society NL, SPCA or Heavenly Creatures.
