It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing at home where she wanted to be, in the arms of her loving husband, Gladys Margaret Penney (nee Cooper) six days before her 78th birthday. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Annie (Whelan) Cooper; brothers John, James, Edward and Cyril and sisters Loretta, Mary and Annie. Leaving to mourn with much love and dedication her husband Harold; daughters Karen and Debbie who cared for her during her final months; grandsons Christopher (Tammy Billard), Johnathan Bourque and Joseph Whitten; her beloved great-grandchildren who were the apple of her eyes Nathan and Austin Bourque and Amber O'Brien sisters Madonna (Eric) Mercer and Rita Hicks and childhood and most cherished friend Helen Saunders as well as many other relatives, extended family and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Saturday, December 17 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and on Sunday, December 18 from 12 Noon - 9 p.m.
Funeral Service to take place from Caul's Chapel on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. with Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Gladys' memory to a charity of one's choice.
