Peacefully with her family by her side at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Friday, December 16, 2016 of Alexandria "Alex" Hedges-Birt of Cornwall age 32 years. Beloved wife of Jody Birt and loving momma of Haley Josey and Morgan Birt. Beloved daughter of Dorothy MacLennan and the late Ron Hedges. Loving sister of Natasha Hedges, Kevin Hedges and Kathy Hedges-Bowley. Daughter-in-law of Danny and Darlene Birt and sister-in-law of Trent Birt (Ashley Belanger-Birt). Alex will also be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, friends and co-workers. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Tuesday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Sherwood Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. If so desired contributions in memory of Alex may be made to the PEI Cancer Treatment Centre or the PEI Humane Society.
