It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of a very loved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Tommie was predeceased by daughter Linda. She will be greatly missed by husband of 68 years, Jack, children Darlene, John (Julie), grandchildren Ryan (Shannon), Kyle (Glynis), Brodie (Amanda), great-grandchildren Alice, Harper, Susan and Caleb, nieces, nephews and friends.
Born in Keewatin, Ontario, Tommie and Jack lived in Vancouver for 26 years and for the last 42 years on Redrooffs Road, Halfmoon Bay. Hard work, including 17 years at St. Mary's Hospital and taking care of her family filled Tommie's life. Delicious meals, tasty baked goods and "Gramma Jam" will be fond memories for us all.
Many thanks to her close neighbours, emergency response personnel, Dr. Lasuda, hospital staff and home care staff that cared and assisted her many times in the last few years.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
