It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Mitchelmore, devoted husband, father, son, brother, son-in-law, and friend. Wayne, in his 45th year, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 18th, 2016 at the Health Sciences Center in St. John's. Predeceased by his mother Minnie. Wayne is leaving behind with loving memories his devoted Wife Tina Mitchelmore; his two adoring boys Ty and Ash; his father Wyman Mitchelmore (Sybil); brother Wyman Mitchelmore (Diane); grandmother Jane Toope (the late James); his mother and father-in-law Wanda and Maurice Pittman; brother and sister-in-law Colin and Jennifer Pittman; nephew Kalan; nieces Angel, Brianna, Charlotte, and Nikita; and a large circle of friends, both personal and professional. Wayne worked at Memorial University. His true life calling was coaching his sons' Northeast Eagles hockey teams, and being a mentor to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Wayne's family wishes to extend their gratitude to everyone for their support in his final days, especially the doctors, nurses and staff at 4 North A at the Health Sciences Centre. Cremation has taken place. The Family will receive visitors at Carnell's Funeral Home on 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday December 21st, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-9. A funeral service will be held in Plum Point at a later date, details to be announced. Flowers gratefully accepted.
