Surrounded by the love of his family, Bill passed away peacefully on December 14th, 2016 in Ormstown, QC after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Bill was dearly loved by his wife and best friend of 52 years, Errolyn, and adored by his children, Lisa (Rick), Chelsea (Jim), and Courtney. Papa will be forever remembered by his grandchildren
Renee, Sascha, and Everett. Bill cherished his relationships with his sisters-in-law, Joan MacDonald (Gerald), Sandra Rankin (Arthur) and the late Bernice Dumas (Florian), as well as his brothers-in-law, the late Jack Barrington (Betty), the late Rodney Barrington (Bonnie), the late Jim Barrington (Anita), and Murray Leclaire (Grace). He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Annie Rennie, his sisters Sylvia, Hilda, and Margaret, his brother John, as well as his twin brother, Michael.

A memorial service to honour and celebrate Bill's life will be held on Wednesday, December 28th at The Village Church, 52 Lambton Street, Ormstown, QC. Visitation will commence at 1pm, followed by a service at 3pm. Charitable donations in Bill's memory may be made to La Fondation du Centre d’hébergement d'Ormstown (65 Rue Hector, Ormstown, QC
J0S 1K0) or the Alzheimer's Association of Canada (20 Eglinton Ave. W., Ste. 1600, Toronto, ON M4R 1K8). Bill proudly served his community as a volunteer firefighter for over 30 years in Ormstown. He was happiest during family celebrations at home or driving down the open road in his red convertible on a summer's day. He loved a competitive game of cards and enjoyed a cracker of a thunderstorm from his front porch
