ORESA LORRAINE CLARKE

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother and best friend, Oresa Lorraine Clarke “Ma” on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at the age of 93, with family at her side.
She had been a resident at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, St. Anne’s Bay since December 15, 2010. Ma was the daughter of the late William and Caroline “Carrie” Clinton of Sydney Mines. She enjoyed life to the fullest, especially baking, visits from her children and her trips to the casino. Ma is survived by her children, Eric (Brenda), Enfield, Ronald (Claire), Howie Center, Marilyn (John), Dartmouth, Caroline, Sydney and Paula (Merlin), Boise, Idaho, USA. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, William “Willie”, who passed away December 14, 1993. The last surviving member of her immediate family, Ma was predeceased by her sisters, Eileen, Alice, Helen, Lena and brother, William. As per Ma’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the SPCA or a charity of one’s choice. A special thank you to all staff of St. Anne’s Bay, Harbourstone for the best of care they gave Ma and all clients of St. Anne’s Bay. Also, thank you to Angelina, a very special person she made friends with the day she entered Harbourstone Enhanced Care. Sincere gratitude is extended to Fr. Dennis Lamey of St. Theresa’s parish for administering her final blessing.
Ma, Even though you are gone. You will never be forgotten
You taught us so much. You will leave a huge void in our lives.
