Carol Anne Sievert of Dartmouth passed away on January 7, 2017 in Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Carol had spent the holidays in Oshawa with her daughter Shelley and family and was due to fly home on January 3, the day after her 78th birthday.
She was the daughter of the late Frank and Ada (Nixon) Stevenson.
She is survived by her daughters Joan (Brian) Weatherbee, Dartmouth, Valerie (Larry) Steele, Beaverbank and Shelley (Bob) Ryall, Oshawa and son Paul, Halifax also 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her four siblings Cyril (Sylvia) Stevenson, Nictaux, Jeanette (Mike) Stevenson, Chelmsford,ON, Paula (Rod) Blair, Spa Springs and Suzanne (Harold) Baker, Margaretsville.
She was predeceased in November, 2015 by her husband of 59 years Paul Sievert.
Carol had followed in her mothers footsteps and had been a member of the Rebekah Lodge for over 45 years both in Amherst and Dartmouth. She was a talented craftswoman and always had many projects on the go. She loved to knit, crochet, quilt and do hardanger which she would then gift to others. She was a very generous woman. If she had something that you liked she would give it to you.
There will be a celebration of Carols life at the Cole Harbour Fire Hall on Sunday, January 15 from 2:30-4:30 pm for family and friends to share stories of her life. Online condolences can be made at www.aftercare.org.
