Passed peacefully away in the presence of his devoted and loving family, on Friday, January 6, 2017, Leo Patrick Dalton of Harbour Main, in his 90th year. Predeceased by his son, Leo Michael (2011), his parents: Daniel and Catherine Dalton and parents-in-law: Michael and Mary Anthony, brothers: James, Michael and Cyril, sisters: Tess, Veronica and Pauline. With broken hearts but fond and wonderful memories to remember him, are his devoted and loving wife of 56 years, Pauline (nee Anthony), the prides of his life's commitment and devotion, daughters and son: Darlene Kennedy (John), Paula Corbett (David), Alicia Kennedy (Kevin), JoAnn Rideout (Rod), Bob Dalton (Rhonda), Shelley Dalton (Glen Fallows) and Wanda Lewis (Jason), the joys of youth that brought a smile to his face daily, his 14 beautiful grandchildren: Allison and Jonathan Kennedy, Emma and Jack Corbett, Rebecca and Jacob Kennedy, Samantha and Alyssa Rideout, Reagan and Carson Dalton, Kate and Michael Fallows, Daniel and Bridget Lewis, and his precious great-granddaughter Charlotte Kennedy, his daughter-in-law Maureen Lewis, sister Clara Kucheruk (Emil), special furry friend Lollie, a number of nieces, nephews, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. All who knew him will never forget his love for his family and for Gallows Cove, his real joy for the humble life he lived and his unique sense of humour. Resting at Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Sunday & Monday from 2 - 4 pm & 7 - 9 pm. There will be no visitation on Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Harbour Main. Donations in his memory can be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Harbour Main or to the Palliative Care Unit of Eastern Health. Interment will be in Sts.
