On Friday, January 13th, 2017 a beautiful soul moved from this world to the next. It is with incredible sadness that the family of Dorothy (Dot) White announce her unexpected passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her devoted husband Fred, her daughters: Jeanette (Todd) Flynn in Cochrane, AB, Jacqueline (Wes) Pidskalny in Fredricton, NB, Vivienne White (Kenny Meade) in Kippens, NL, Doreen (Bruce) Spicer in Sydney, NS and Melanie (Martin) Blanchard in Oromocto, NB, her brother Jerome (Madonna) Maloney in Sweet Bay, NL, her four sisters: Josephine Dacey in Stephenville, Loretta Hollohan in Dartmouth, NS, Terry (Bernie) White in Kippens, NL and Sadie Maloney in Gander, NL, her eight grandchildren: Alexandra (Chris), Kelsey, Marc, Thomas, Cameron, Kyra, Kaelan, and Emma, her great-grandchild Brantley, her faithful dog Daisy who never left her side, along with a large circle of family and friends. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Ita Maloney, her sister Marion Maddigan, and her brothers Andrew Maloney and John Maloney. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, January 16th, 2017 at Russell's Funeral Home on Prince Rupert Drive from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, January 17th, 2017 at 10 am at St. Stephen's Parish on West Street with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery on the Hansen Highway. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dorothy's memory to either the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
