Gwendolyn Anne Gaum, of Sydney, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017, with her family at her side, at Northwood Home Care in Halifax.
Born December 12, 1945, Gwen was the daughter of the late Reta and Dr. Abraham Gaum. Gwen, in her early years, enjoyed a life surrounded by her many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. In her last decade, Gwen was blessed with very special care from Martha de Baie. Martha and her husband, Blaine became Gwen’s best friends; they provided her with an enjoyable quality of life and much love; Gwen’s family shall never forget them. Gwen is survived by her brothers, Winston and Thomas; nieces, Lisa, Tanya, Darah and Laura; cousins, Judy, Carol Anne, Gail, Martin, Daniel, Howard, David and Peter. Funeral service will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel, 49 Welton St., Sydney on Sunday, January 22 at 2 p.m., with Rabbi David Ellis officiating. Interment in the Hebrew Cemetery.
