Following a lengthy illness, we regret to announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Josepha, on January 21, 2017, Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Sydney Mines on December 28, 1941 Josepha was the daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude (Bonnar) Miles. She was a founding member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society. In recent years Josepha spent many enjoyable days working side by side with her husband Terry at various Craft Fairs and meeting travelers from around the world. Her presence will be sadly missed in her circle of crafters. Josepha is survived by her husband of 47 years, Terry; her daughter, Paulette Miles and husband, Deon Durnford; her grandson, Ryan Cox and great grandson, Austin Campbell. She is also survived by sister-in-laws, Mary Knight, Brony MacIntosh (Dan), Sheila Snow (John) and Cindy Hyde (Bill); brother-in-laws, Greg MacIntosh and Stephen Brown; special cousin, Edward Bonnar (Ontario), along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Cremation has taken place. Visitation for Josepha MacIntosh will be held 2-4 and 7-9 on Monday (today), January 23, 2017 at J.M. Jobes funeral Home 635 Main St., Sydney Mines. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Church Sydney Mines, with Fr. James Oliver officiating. A reception will follow at the parish hall
