Passed peacefully away in the presence of his wife and daughter after a brief illness at the age of 86 years. Predeceased by his parents Walter and May (nee Hutching); brother Eric; daughter and son-in-law Gail and Don Whitten. Leaving to mourn his wife and best friend of 65 years Elizabeth (nee Kelly); daughter Margo (Larry Noseworthy); grandchildren: David Noseworthy (Jenn), Heather Neville (Danny), Rebecca MacDonald (Alan) and Jonathon Whitten; his great-granddaughters who were so special to "Dumpy": Sara MacDonald, Maddy and Kailey Neville and Katherine Allen-Noseworthy; brother and sister-in-law Jim and Mary; sisters-in-law: Mary Kelly and Dot Thistle. Also leaving to mourn many nieces, nephews, and a large number of friends. The family wish to thank everyone who visited Dad in his last days. A special thank you to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit for the care and compassion they showed to the whole family. David was a retired associate of ADT. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday, January 27 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Barrett's Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 2 pm, interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations in David's memory may be made to the Dr. H.
