Born December 24, 1927, in New Waterford, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Sophie (Aucoin) Aucoin. Edna was an active member of St. Augustine’s Church, singing in the choir and was thrilled to receive her 40 year CWL pin. She was an exceptional mother who took great pride in her children and families. The nuns always said ‘the Boudreau children got their brown eyes from Edna’s cinnamon rolls.’ Mom took the advanced sewing course at Singer’s and was always amazed at her finished projects. She made the best aprons in Cape Breton. She also loved to knit and crochet and much of her work was on display in her home.
