It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother Magdalene Iantha (Samantha) Jardine on February 8, 2017 at Taigh Solas in the Northside General Hospital, North Sydney surrounded by her loving family. Born in Alder Point on February 16, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Martin and Rozzlean (Dugas) Simon.
Mom had strong faith; she was a member of St. Anne Church, Alder Point. In her early years she worked in Halifax, eventually coming back home to care for her mother and brother. Great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Riley MacLean, Destiny, Andrew, Dewey ,Carter and Richard Cleveland. She is also survived by brothers, Cecil (Sonny) (Gail) Simon, Sydney Mines.
