It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Bill Hogan at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney on Sunday, February 12,2017 as a result from Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late Frank and Irene (Rogers) Hogan. Bill was a jack of all trades, enjoyed tinkering around the yard. He was a strong hardworking outdoorsman; he was good humored with always a great joke to tell all and any who would listen. He enjoyed having a drink and picking a tune on the guitar.
Bill is survived by his loving children, Steven (Leslie), Blair (Colleen), John (Shauna); his loving grandchildren, Aaron (Allie), Christopher, Caleb, Breanna and William. He is also survived by his special friend and companion, June Harris and her family; sisters, Emily and Jeanette; brother, Francis (Marilyn); as well as nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Nina.
The family would like to thank the staff of 4C of the CBRH for their compassion and care given to Bill since November of 2016.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. A graveside service will take place at a later date Neil’s Harbour.
