ROBERTSON, Donna Kathleen – 79, Hilden, passed away peacefully, with her family nearby, on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Bible Hill, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Kathleen (Hare) MacCallum. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers in infancy. She was a much loved school bus driver for 31 years and for many of those years, she also worked in the school cafeteria. Donna was a member of Hilden Fire Brigade Auxiliary and held the office of President for many years. She was also a member of Hilden Fireside Club and Hilden United Church. For many years, Donna had a table at Tatamagouche Farmers Market where she sold her pickles, jams and jellies. Donna is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Darrell; children, Dwight, Gordon, Ardith (Randy) Cameron; grandchildren, Shaun Robertson, Jamie Lawerance, Briana Stewart, Emily Stewart, Sydney Stewart, Tricia (Andrew) Fraser; great grandchildren, Reid and Laine Fraser; step-mother, Katherine “Kit” MacCallum; sisters, Nancy (Tim) MacKinnon, Sandra (Paul) Fisher. Donna’s family invite you to come and celebrate her life from 1-4 p.m., Monday, February 20, 2017, at Hilden Fire Hall, 1414 Highway 2, Hilden. Private family service will be held at a later date. If so desired, donations in Donna’s memory to Hilden Volunteer Fire Brigade or charity of choice are welcomed.
