Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, February 17, 2017, Joseph G. "Joe" Noel of Carbonear, age 94 years. A prominent businessman of Carbonear, founder of Noel Motors and Transit, Noel's Convenience and Noel's Turkey Farm. Predeceased by parents: George and Gertrude; sister Ina Taylor; baby brother Lloyd; brothers: Ted (Mabel), Leroy (Florence) and Les (Marie); sister-in-law Dorothy Noel; and brother-in-law James Fitzpatrick. He leaves to mourn, his wife Emma; daughter Dawn Noel, Carbonear; son Kerry (Carol Ann), Carbonear; two cherished grandchildren: Keri Ann and Ryan Joseph; two brothers: Pat (Betty), Freshwater, Carbonear and Gilbert (Gillian), Carbonear; sister Thelma Fitzpatrick, St. John's; son-in-law Terry Slade, Salmon Cove; also many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear until 10:30 a.m. Monday. Funeral service to take place on Monday, February 20 at 11 a.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear.
