HELENA HANNAH KENDELL
November 25, 1929- February 20, 2017


It is with great sadness that the family of the late Helena Kendell announces her passing on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre with her loving family by her side,at the age of 87. Born in Woodville, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late John William and Elizabeth Kendell. Helena was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She will be always loved and missed by her daughter, Nora (Greg) Coolen, Dartmouth, NS and son, Leonard (Marie) Kendell, Woodville, daughter-in-law, Sandy Kendell, Beeton, Ontario, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, sisters-in-laws, Dorcas Samms and Marcella Kendell, as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews and friends. She was predeceased by husband, John Kendell, son, John “Jack” Kendell, brothers and sisters in law, Cecil (Helen) Victor (Vera), Edna (Edgar), Gladys (Archibald), Walter (Mabel), Elias, Ernest Kendell, Herbert Kendell and Jacob Samms. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Church in Codroy. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Codroy officiated by Rev. Harold Harvey, interment will follow at Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery. Flowers graciously accept or donations in memory of Helena can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
