John “Junkman John” Henry Lines age 73 of Amherst passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at home.
Born in Amherst he was a son of the late Marjorie May Lines.
John was employed for 26 years with Atlantic Wholesalers. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, walking and boxing in his earlier years.
He had a large circle of friends with whom he enjoyed socializing over a hot cup of coffee.
John is survived by his sons, Chris (Leeann), Amherst and Todd (Patti), Oxford; the sons mother, Jackie Lines; sister, Shirley (Gary) Hyatt of Ottawa, ON; grandchildren, Jessie Mae, Desiree, Rebecca, Megan, Kyle, Ryan and Walker; as well as niece, Candy Hyatt and nephew, Vincent Hyatt.
A Celebration of John’s Life will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 between the hours of 4-7 pm at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (902) 667-9906.
In lieu floral tributes, memorial contributions in John’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a local charity of your choice.
