
Balcolm Murray "Dale" Weatherbee
Balcolm Murray "Dale" Weatherbee, born August 10, 1958, passed away suddenly at his home in Truro, Nova Scotia on February 9, 2017 due to complications to do with C.O.P.D. and heart disease. He was the son of Earl and Evelyn, both deceased, the brother of Douglas and Dewenton, both deceased, and brother of Margaret Conrod of Truro, surviving. 2 nephews, Shawn and James, 1 niece, Fran Laurie, all of Truro. 2 great nephews, Levi Laurie and James Weatherbee. Dale had 1 daughter, Spring, and granddaughter Lindsay, of Regina. He was also predeceased by 2 wives – Ingrid (1st), and Penny (2nd).
He worked for Fosco Roofing for many years and was a well thought of employee, and a loyal and hard worker. Dale is also survived by his stepmother, Sally Weatherbee, 3 stepsisters, and other members of the blended family.
Memorial and internment will take place at a later date. Any wishing to make donations on Dales’ behalf can do so to the Lung and Heart and Stroke foundations.
In his free time, he loved to play poker on Saturday nights with many of his friends. He will be sadly and greatly missed by all surviving family and friends. Dale was well thought of in the community where he lived. He was a devoted husband to his disabled wife until her recent passing in July.
