Died peacefully at the University Hospital in Edmonton on Sunday, March 12, 2017, in the presence of his loving family after a long but courageous battle with illness, Jacob Donald Parsons, age 72 years. Predeceased by his parents, Ira and Jane Parsons, and his sister Lorraine Mercer. Leaving to celebrate his life, his two sons, Todd Parsons (Yellowknife) (Bonnie), Greg Parsons (Tina) (St. John's); five grandchildren; sisters Jean Whalen (Jack) (St. John's), Christine Oates (Max) (Moncton), Jeanette Layden (Albert, deceased) (Harbour Grace), and brother Father Garry Parsons (St. John's), brother-in -law Doug Mercer; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends - too numerous to mention, but each very special to Jake.
