Alford, Alice Louise (Barclay), 98, Truro, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at Wynn Park Villa, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Angus and Mabel (Faulkenham) Barclay. Alice was a machine operator having worked for Stanfields, Truro.
She is survived by a niece Judy Castell of Truro Heights; many nieces and nephews; special friend Terri Bowie of Truro.
She was predeceased by her husband Reginald J. Alford; sisters Margaret MacKenzie, Verna Hunter, Ethel Barclay in infancy; brother Lewis Barclay.
No visitation by request. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro from where funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 16th at 2 pm. Reverend Valerie Kingsbury will officiate with burial at a later date in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. Donations in Alice’s memory, is to be kind and do a favor for someone else.
