Peacefully at the Garden Home on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 of Ora Mabel Lawton of Pownal, age 95 years. Wife of the late George Lawton. Beloved mother of Sandra Sherren, Elwood (Nancy) and Cathy (Peter) MacPherson. Nanny to Julie Burgoyne (David Shaw), Jeffery (Alanna Taylor) Burgoyne, Jennifer Lawton (Mark MacMillan), Heather Lawton (Paul Chin), Nicholas MacPherson and Nathan (Christie) MacPherson. Great-grandmother of Ava and Kate Burgoyne, Michael MacMillan and Lilly and Sadie MacPherson. Sister of Elinor Smith. Predeceased by her brother Elwood Jenkins. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the funeral will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment later in Pownal Cemetery. If so desired, memorials to St. Andrew’s United Church.
