Eileen Ljunggren (nee Agar), age 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current, SK. Eileen Muriel Ljunggren was born November 19, 1924 in Swift Current to Dan & Muriel Agar. On October 20,1943 Eileen married the man she deeply loved — Howard Ljunggren. Together, they built their home in Swift Current and raised their six children. On August 12, 2016 Eileen lost the love of her life when Howard passed away. Eileen enjoyed an active, healthy life with many interests and hobbies. She liked to garden, travel, sew, bake, crochet, skate, cook, and knit. Her energy and hard work was appreciated by everyone who knew her. Many visitors, travellers, and family were warmly welcomed into her home over the years and she kept in contact with them all her life. Eileen was a faithful member of the Full Gospel Church. She was actively involved in the Ladies missionary group and the Ladies Prayer Group for many years, always willing to lend a capable hand where needed. Eileen will be forever missed by her family, whom she dearly loved. The many handmade, knitted, and crocheted gifts and family memories will be treasured always. Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Howard Ljunggren; her sister, Martha Agar (in infancy); and by her brother, Lorne Agar. Eileen is survived by her six children, Sylvia (Don) Bedwell, Dorothy (David) Low, Patricia (Gordon) White, Barry (Cheryl) Ljunggren, Wendy (James) Pritchard, and Rod (Beryl) Ljunggren; her seventeen grandchildren; her thirty-two great-grandchildren; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The Memorial Service was held on Friday March 17, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the Full Gospel Church, Swift Current, SK with Pastor Wendell Quincey and Pastor David Clark officiating. The Private Interment Service was held prior to the Memorial Service from Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current. In memory of Eileen Ljunggren, memorial donations made to the Missionary Fund of the Full Gospel Church would be appreciated by the family.
