September 17, 1972 - April 8, 2008. After a short illness and a courageous fight at the Health Sciences Centre, Sonya left us to take care of her grandfather Elias Avery, Sr., grandmothers Deborah George and Jemima Avery. Leaving to mourn with fond and everlasting memories her parents John and Roberta; one brother Stacy; her dearly cherished nephew Nickolas; grandfather Harvey George; special aunt Maisie; her two special boys Devon Bowering and Damian Marsh; as well as many aunts and uncles, cousins, co-workers and a large circle of friends. Resting at Vardy's Funeral Home, Hickman's Harbour. Visitation Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services to be held on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from United Church, Hickman's Harbour.
