(Nellie) (April 19, 1929 - April 9, 2008) Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, Nellie Costello, formerly of Avondale, age 78 years. Mom was predeceased by her husband John (2004) and her daughter Darlene (2005). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters Judy and husband Joe Rotchford of Conception Harbour and Bernadette and husband Ken Boland of Avondale; her son John Costello and wife Catherine of Chamberlains; four grandchildren Jody-Lynn & Joey Rotchford, Rebecca Lewis and Ashley Costello and one great-grandchild Tristan Cashin; her brothers Dom & Jack Perry and her sister Catherine Williams and a large circle of extended family and friends. Heartfelt thanks to Drs. Lake & Mercer and to the management and staff of Woodford's Golden Care Home, Holyrood for the loving care provided to Mom over the last eighteen months. Visitation at Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood on Wednesday, April 9 from 7-9 p.m., Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Friday, April 11, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Funeral will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2008 with Mass of Christian Burial from Assumption Church, Avondale.
