It is with great sadness that the family of the late LESTER JAMES BLAGDON (JIM) of Marystown, announces his passing at The Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank on Sunday, April 2nd, 2017 at the age of 79.

Lester was predeceased by his wife Grace (1996); father Frank and infant sister Bonnie (1960); brother Calvin and mother Annie (1998); brother Donnelly 2001; sister Dorothy (2016); sister-in-law Clara Blagdon; and brothers-in-law Dale Atkinson and Beecher Magee.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are son, Frank Blagdon (Sherry Lake) of Marystown; daughter, Bonnie (Frank) Saint of Wabush, Labrador; granddaughter, Grace Robyn Blagdon; grandson, Tyler James Saint; loving partner, Ella Parsons and her family of Marystown; sisters, Mary (Calvin) Bowdridge of Burgeo, Audrey Atkinson of Nova Scotia, and Bernice (Kevin) Brenton of Marystown; brothers, Aubrey (Lucy) Blagdon of Marystown, Howard (Doreen) Blagdon of Marystown, and Albert (Marilyn) Blagdon of Marystown; sister-in-law Jane Blagdon of Mt. Pearl; plus a large number of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
The Funeral Service took place at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Marystown, on Tuesday, April 4th, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. Cremation followed.

In Jim’s memory donations may be made to the St. Mary’s Anglican Church or The Alzheimer’s Society.
