M. Natalie Weatherby

Weatherby, M. Natalie, 85 - Tatamagouche. Drifted away peacefully in the early hours of April 13, 2017, with family by her side in Willow Lodge, where she has resided for the last few months.
She was born in Truro, the daughter of the late Russell and Helen (Pritchett) McCallum and married Ivan Weatherby of Tatamagouche. They raised their family on Brule Shore, enjoying the farm, many vegetable and flower gardens and especially the beach. Life was an adventure she enjoyed and spending time with the wee ones brought her great joy. Pictures were her passion as she carried her iPad everywhere. She could be seen anywhere on her bike or walking.
She was a lifetime member of the Onward United Church Women, Lillian Fraser Hospital Auxiliary, North Shore Senior Citizens Group, Brule Community Centre, an original member of Willow Lodge Ladies Auxiliary, former and founding member of the North Shore Bavarian Society and volunteered in many other community activities.
Left to mourn are her children, Shelley (Jimmie) LeFresne, Tatamagouche; Allyson (Roger) Hingley, Kemptown; Darrell (Andrea) Weatherby, Tatamagouche; 9 granddaughters, Erin (Peter) Pope, Jane LeFresne, Kirby (Jamie) Veal, Jessica (Matt Dixon), Dana & Lara Hingley, Charlee (Rob) Heighton, Oree & Andee Weatherby; four great grandchildren, Logan & Mallory Pope, Hailee Heighton, Ben Veal; Brother, Bobbie (Elaine), Valley, Colchester Co.; sister-in-law, Beth Murphy, Fredericton. She was predeceased by husband, Ivan of 46 Years; son, Paul; grandson, Keegan; brother, Gary; sister, Jackie Card; two brothers in infancy.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Monday, April 17 in Coulter’s Funeral Home (902-657-3288), Tatamagouche. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 18, in Sharon United Church, Tatamagouche, Rev. Penny Nelson officiating.
Family flowers only. Memorial donations can be made to Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, Willow Lodge, Sharon United Church or charity of one’s choice. The family would like to express their thankfulness to the staff at Maplewood Manor where she stayed prior to Willow Lodge, and to the staff of Willow Lodge that have provided fabulous care and support.
