GRANT MACLEAN
The family of the late Grant MacLean would like to express our sincere gratitude to family and friends for their love and support during our recent time of sorrow. To the multitude of friends and neighbors who came to our homes, visited at the funeral home, attended funeral service at the church, sent flowers, cards, made phone calls and sent memorial donations to various organizations we are deeply grateful.
To friends and neighbors for the continuous stream of food delivered to our home at very appropriate times, thank you, we were certainly well fed. To those who shared stories of the many kindnesses bestowed upon them by Grant, many of, which we were not aware, we thank you for sharing. To the many of Grants NSPC co-workers who came to offer condolences, thank you for remembering him and the good times. To my stitch and bitch friends, Meco DKI, Sharon Stevenson and Susan Hiscock for going above and beyond. A heartfelt thank you to the Rev. Ralph Johnson, who has always been there for our family for all of life's events, be it happy or sad. To Honorary Pallbearers, David MacDonald, Sheldon Brown, Bill MacLeod and Murray Tobin, Grant was pleased to have you there.
To Isabel MacDonald, Prof Jim MacNeil, and Knox Choir for providing appropriate music for the funeral service; Allison MacLean for her Eulogy; and Robert MacQueen and Ian MacQueen for the Scripture Readings, Poppa would have been so proud. Thanks to the ladies of Knox UCW for providing the delicious lunch after the service. A very special thank you to Dr. Michael Gallivan for his care and compassion during Grants illness and always; also to Dr. Philip Curry, Dr. W. Sharieff, Dr. Pahil, the Sydney Cancer Center and especially to Palliative Care who made it possible for Grant to remain in his own home to the end, as was his wish.
To the staff of Patten’s Funeral Home for their kindness and professionalism, making our burden easier to bear.
