
Allison M (Al) Turner
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Allison M. (Al) Turner, 88, of Peterborough, Ont., on April 16, 2017. Al was born in O’Leary, P.E.I. on March 25, 1929, the fifth son of William E. and Alice Maude (Rayner) Turner. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Edwin, Wendell, William, Kenneth and a niece Sally Louise Turner. Al is survived by sisters-in-law, Avis Turner of Moncton and Iris Turner of Vancouver, and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Nisbett Funeral Home. There will be no visitation by personal request. Interment will take place at a later date. Al loved cottage life at Rice Lake, Ont., and with family and friends on P.E.I. He enjoyed playing cards, reading, going to beaches and experiencing nature in all its forms. Al attended Mount Allison University where he studied Music, then later moved to Toronto to work in the executive office of Goodyear Rubber where he remained until retirement. In his final years he lived in Peterborough surrounded by close friend. Al was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
