The family of the late Angus Currie, a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend, who passed away on December 17, 2016, would like to sincerely thank our family, friends and neighbours who provided comfort and support during our time of loss. To everyone who attended the wake and funeral, visited, phoned, sent emails and online condolences, brought food to our homes, sent flowers, sympathy cards, Mass cards, monetary and charitable donations to the Alzheimer Society, Mass for Shut Ins, and St. Mary building/cemetery fund, your thoughtfulness was overwhelming and much appreciated.
Mass of Christian burial for Angus was celebrated on December 21, 2016, at St. Mary’s Church in East Bay. Burial followed in the parish cemetery. Special thanks to Rev. Frank Abbass and concelebrants Reverends Paul Abbass, Jake Andrea, Dan A. MacInnis, Albert Maroun, Paul Murphy and attendance by Rev. Bill Burke. The family was deeply touched by Rev. Paul Murphy’s respectful, heartwarming, personal and humorous eulogy.
The family is grateful to alter servers George MacDonald, Vince MacDonald, Michael MacInnis; usher, Alex (Hook) MacIssac; Eucharistic minister, niece, Cecelia Ann MacLean; readers, Tom Wilson (son-in-law), Raylene Hinchey (niece/godchild), Amanda, Meghan, Danielle, Chelsea (granddaughters); gift bearers, daughters, Florence and Theresa; pallbearers, sons, Bernie, Kevin, Cecil, Angie, Clarence and Daniel; honourary pallbearers, grandsons, Carleton, Trevor, Tyler, Drew, Matthew, Ryan, Greg, Bryden, Brendon, Jeffrey, Liam; music ministry, singers, Carol MacDougall, Gaelic Choir, Donnie Campbell; fiddlers, Paul Wukitsch, Paul MacDonald; piper, Jeannette Gillis. Everyone was invited to the East Bay Firehall for a reception hosted by St. Mary”s Catholic Women’s League, who provided a lovely lunch. Ladies your ministry is invaluable.
Appreciation is extended to Bill Curry and staff at T W Curry Parkview Chapel for their compassion, professionalism, and ongoing support during our time of sorrow.
