It is with great sadness that we announce our Mom, Nana & Great-Grandma, Dilys M. Fleming passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Dilys was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan and then moved to Victoria with her parents (Maida and George Edwards) where she completed her RN at Royal Jubilee. While in Victoria she met "Reggie" and they were married in 1949. In 1965 they moved to West Vancouver. After raising 4 children, Mark (Barb), Jill, Gordon (Yvette) and Dean (Pam), Mom entered and exceled in the business world as a partner in a chain of card stores. Eventually she returned to nursing and quickly became Director of Care at Inglewood Private Hospital in West Vancouver. Throughout the years, Mom and Dad were very active travelling and socializing with their friends. Mom was also the consummate Nana of 7 grandchildren (Raegan, Cam, Dylan, Scott, Max, Tessa, Tate) and 1 great-grandchild (Cooper). After Dad's passing in 2006, Mom moved to Gibsons, BC where both Gordon and Jill resided. We are comforted by the compassion and care she received while enjoying her latter years at Christensen Village. Mom will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
