The funeral service for the late John James MacQueen, was held on April 11, 2017 at Sydney River Protestant Church, with Rev. Dana Feltmate officiating. Hymn songs were “In the sweet bye and bye” and “Amazing Grace”. Pallbearers were four grandsons; Trevor Keigan, Joel MacQueen, Mike MacQueen, Bryden Mercer and two nephews, Jimmy MacQueen and Dan Alex MacDonald. We would like to thank Rev. Feltmate, the church choir and also the Ladies Auxiliary for providing the lunch after the services. To all who send cards, flowers, monies, emails and visited during the wake and funeral and those who send food to our homes, thank you. A special thank you goes out to all who donated to Palliative Care, Cancer Care. A special thank you is also extended to the Glace Bay General 4 North for their care of John and to Kollin Weatherbee and staff of Sydney Memorial Chapel for your kind assistances.
