Annie Elizabeth Mavin (nee Fizzard)

Passed peacefully away in the arms of her loving family at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre on Monday, May 1, 2017, Annie Mavin, age 75 years. Predeceased by her parents, Phillip Fizzard and Ada Evans; step-father, Joseph Evans; parents-in-law: Henry and Matilda Mavin; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Leaving to mourn, her loving husband and best friend of 56 years, Randolph Mavin; sons: Barry (Brenda) and Randy (Debbie); daughters: Thelma (Henry), Lisa (Randy) and Yvette (Gerard); eight grandchildren: Jill Osmond (Kirk), Lendyn Mavin (Mary), Matthew Mavin, Debra Ann Mavin, Kristyn Coley, Tyler Coley, RJ Hewitt and Joey Hewitt; 5 great-grandchildren: Riley and Paige Osmond, and Dalton, Brayleigh and Kendrix Mavin; special puppy dog "Myla"; sisters: Phyllis Fiander (Lochleigh), Selina Hill and Mazie Coady; as well as a large extended family and a wide circle of friends. Special thank you to Dr. Amanda Scott for years of excellent support and care; to Dr. Bruce Doulton, Dr. Cheryl Hurley, Dr. Noreen Fardy and the medical team and staff of the Palliative Care Unit; to Anne Miller for her kindness and everlasting support; to Esther Abbott-Kent Community Health Nurse for her knowledge and wonderful guidance; and to Rev. Bruce Kearley and Rev. William Bartlett for their prayers, visits and faith. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Wednesday, May 3, and Thursday, May 4, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place from Topsail United Church, on Friday, May 5, at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Annie's memory may be made to your local community church.
