Hayman, Florence Allie
Age 86, North River, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2017 at The Mira, Truro. Born in Onslow Mountain, June 5, 1930. She was the daughter of the late George Lambert & Grace (Blenkensopp )Lambert. She is survived by sons, Allan (partner Judy Jones), Murray, daughter Joy; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Arthur, son Wayne, brothers Frank, Roy, and Godfrey, and sister Grace. She taught school for many years and then substituted after that. She was a member of the North River United Church and enjoyed reading her poems with the music group. Florence loved her dog Lassie. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 11 from 1pm – 2pm, followed by a memorial service, with reception afterwards all at Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, Rev. John Parsons officiating. Interment in Forest Hills Cemetery, Denmark. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Forest Hills Cemetery, Denmark or The North River United Church.
